There’s a lot of astrology happening in November and the second half of this month is just as eventful. If you missed the first part of this transit update, the key highlights so far have been the Mercury Saturn Squares, the last of the Jupiter Pluto conjunctions and the much anticipated Mars direct station.

In this third week of November, Venus takes the spotlight as she makes a superior square to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. This trio of planets, who will now be remembered for restructuring the world in 2020, will succumb to the graceful, persuasive power of Venus from her strong position in Libra. This may see a gentle easing of the pressures we’ve experienced during 2020’s pandemic as Venus pushes her agenda to bring pleasure, connection, joy and beauty. To a world that’s been under the restrictive boundaries of Capricorn all year, the diplomatic Venus can negotiate more fairness and equity on our behalf, bringing constructive progress to burdensome issues and highlighting some things to celebrate and enjoy, even if it’s just the small wins. Nevertheless, these square aspects between Venus to Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, will still be tense and strained, so while we may experience some reprieve, the challenges are far from over and our celebrations shall be limited. Venus will move into Scorpio the following week where she’ll feel alienated and unhappy, so make use of this temporary bout of sweetness that’s available to us this week. If you’ve been thinking of a social catchup or some pampering, perhaps this is the week to do this.

In amongst this Venus-ruled week on the 17  November, we will also see the last of the three Mercury Uranus oppositions that commenced in October. This opposition is a double-edge sword, bringing mental angst or mental breakthroughs or both. Uranus energy is unpredictable but we do know is that it behaves better if given freedom and authenticity. Confining Uranus will bring out rebellion, discord and explosiveness. Either way, Uranus acts suddenly in whatever it does, so combined with the planet of mind and communication, Mercury, we could expect to see sudden mental breakthroughs this week, given that this is the final resolution of this transit story. Combining the Venusian theme this week, it would be worthwhile to break up routine to do something Venusian (ie. be social, connect, pamper, indulge a little) as this may create some space to liberate your mind to something genius waiting to awaken from within you. 

The 22nd November sees Venus shift into Scorpio and the Sun ingresses into Sagittarius, starting to form the configurations for the new eclipses in Sag / Gemini. If you haven’t felt the eclipse vortex yet, you’re likely to feel it this week. The Sun shines a light on our truths, beliefs and values bringing these themes up for us to reassess in the following fortnight. Wherever Sagittarius falls in your chart will be the area you’ll notice some deep stirrings around your beliefs and your quest for truth. The Sun could also bring you insights into opportunities for your conscious expansion.

Finally, November ends with a big bang with the first of the two eclipses hapenning at the Full Moon in Gemini on the 30th November. I’ve written two articles previously about this new eclipse series in Gemini and Sagittarius; one on the shifting of the Lunar Nodes and the other on the preview eclipse in June 2020. These eclipses are bringing us into a steep learning phase over the next 12 months. This could show up as a technological step-up, as is commonly seen  when the North Node eclipse occurs in Gemini, and could also be observed as a collective search for renewed truth and belief systems. Somewhere in the world, and in our personal lives, we will be undergoing a re-education process as we search for greater connection to higher truth.
