The Taurus/Scorpio Eclipse Series – Revealing the diamond

by | Nov 18, 2021 | Forecast | 2 comments

Today we will experience a Partial Eclipse in Taurus – the first eclipse of the Taurus / Scorpio series since November 2012 to May 2013.

Here are some initial thoughts around the first Taurus eclipse of the series. No doubt, there’ll be more to come. But, if you’ve got important Taurus or Scorpio placements or angles in your natal chart, or are around 19-21, 36-38, 51-52, 72-73 years of age, this eclipse series will have a significant influence on your life, bringing great changes, ending, beginnings and experiences of deep synchronicity and fate.

If this is you, you would benefit from a consultation to explore the historical activations of these eclipses in your life as well as the potential influences that you’re likely to experience between now and mid 2023.

It’s important to use the first eclipse of the series as an observation window because the events of this eclipse will illustrate the potential themes for the entire Taurus / Scorpio eclipse series. This is your opportunity to have a sitting with your inner oracle – it will show you the archetypal stories, life themes and patterns that are being activated.

The forces of Venus and Mars

The essence of the Taurus / Scorpio eclipse story is of Venus and Mars in their nocturnal places. The ordeals associated with give and take, partnership and independence, reconciliation and conflict are some fundamental themes behind this eclipse series.

The nocturnal homes of Venus and Mars point us to the feminine nature of Taurus and Scorpio where we’re reminded to ground and deepen; to get back to earth and plunge into the underworld to unearth the instinctual power of the feminine mysteries. The earth of Taurus and the deep waters of Scorpio make up the two passive elements that want to lead us in a downward motion. This follows a period of very ungrounded energies attributed to the lofty fire and air nature of the Sag/Gemini eclipses from June 2020 to December 2021.

The nocturnal expression of Venus and Mars also suggests that these eclipse themes may occur within ourselves or in the privacy of our relationships, homes and families. Most archetypically connected to relationships, the Venus Mars essence of this eclipse series is likely to open discussions around equality and power imbalances within our personal relationships – romantic, business and platonic. It points to the continual see-sawing of power dynamics that is entrenched within even the most healthy of partnerships. These eclipses may raise  internal or external events and themes that remind us of the constant work required to maintain healthy, balanced relationships.

In the deep mantles of Earth, we find rough diamonds that have the potential to transform into highly prized gemstones, the envy of Venusian desire nature. They form in the ground under conditions of high temperature and pressure with most being delivered to Earth’s surface via deep volcanic eruptions – sound a bit like Mars? When diamonds are unearthed, they are rough and rugged but with the application of Martian-like tools, equipment and techniques, the beautiful faceted diamond is created, fit for a Venusian queen. But beauty is not the only prized quality of the diamond – it’s the hardest natural substance known and is used widely in construction and engineering industries for drilling, cutting and polishing.

No matter what chaos or drama the Taurus / Scorpio eclipse series throws at us, we can remind ourselves that the greater intention is one of refinement. Just like the diamond in the rough, we too will be called to unearth our deepest truths around the themes of dependency, possession, power and equality. The events of these eclipses will require us to cut and sever the impurities of the ego, to reconcile with the more refined aspects of our soul and reveal the Stone.

Great article. This gives me a very clear picture about this lunar eclipse and the energies of the Taurus/Scorpio axis and the hosts of this eclipse, Venus and Mars. Thank you.
