May 2021 Forecast
May is shaping up to be a dynamic month with lots of interesting astrological patterns forming. The key phenomenon that astrologers have been looking forward to is Jupiter’s ingress into Pisces on the 14th May. This much anticipated transit promises to bring a level of grace, benevolence and good will to the world. On top of this good news, Venus will also be resurrecting from the underworld and reborn as an evening star from 4th May. This will help us to reconcile, re-spark and re-unite with relationships that may have soured since mid February this year. It will also be a good time to head out at sunset to see Venus rise in the western horizon. In ancient times, this first sighting was an auspicious time for fertility, relationships, creativity and abundance.
However, May does begin with a cracker as the Sun activates the Saturn Uranus square, which formed in February as well. This may re-ignite tensions and clashes between the idea of the conservative and liberalist, sparking a dismantling of old structures or habits for fresher perspectives. The Sun crossing paths with Saturn and Uranus early May will surely remind us of important events or tensions formed in February 2021, preparing us for significant actions around these topics in June and November this year. Breathe into May with lots of nerve tonics, meditation and mindfullness and try to buffer out the chaos as much as possible.
For all the Sagittarians and Pisceans out there, the past 15 months may have been a bit dampening with your ruler Jupiter trotting through the restricting Saturnian signs, May is the time you could finally feel the bounce in your stride and your natural buoyancy return. This also applies to individuals with Jupiter activated as their current timelord too.
It’s also a good idea for everyone to check out where Pisces is located in your natal chart – this area of your life will be fertile with opportunities, advantage and abundance while Jupiter moves through Pisces from 14th May to 28th July. This move coincides nicely with the New Moon in Taurus on the 12th May, helping you manifest in the earthly realm more effectively. If that timeframe falls short of your manifesting ability, don’t worry, Jupiter will be back into Pisces again for its last stint between 29 December 2021 and 11 May 2022.
For the month of May and June 2021, I have opened up some appointments for a special Jupiter in Pisces Session to help you make the most of the Jupitarian gifts available from Pisces only once every 12 years.
While all of this is happening, we will also start feeling the grip of Saturn loosen on our reality as it prepares to station retrograde on the 23rd May. This will emphasise our fears around security, stability and structure and could possibly see us offering more space to explore new possibilities beyond our limits and boundaries.
The last major transit to highlight for May will be the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on the 26th May. This eclipse series started in June 2020 and will continue until December 2021 and has been inspiring us to let go of dogma and outdated ideologies and to find new truths and meaning. This will be the first eclipse in Sagittarius of this current series to occur while its ruler Jupiter is strongly placed in its home sign of Pisces. We could expect to experience a strong sense of clarity around something that we can finally let go of, replacing stale belief systems to one that is more unified and compassionate. A good time for purging, spring cleaning, detoxing and purifying.
Finally on the very last day of May, Mercury will station retrograde in Gemini, offering us a time to slow down and reflect on the big shifts in May. Mercury will no doubt herald news of the impending Gemini eclipse in June as it makes its descent to the underworld. More on that next month…..
