True freedom is impossible without a mind made free by discipline.

  • Those with escapist tendencies should be mindful of not being too excessive

Date: 7 March – 13 March 2022

Let’s start with a little back story. Since the Full Moon in Leo on 16 February, which happened at the ‘Bendings of the Nodes’ (90 degree square to Nodes), we’re going to see a string of planets move through this same ‘bendings’ point over the next month as they travel through the last Decan of Aquarius. As the planets move through the Bendings, they will ignite stories that will be related to the upcoming eclipses of 2022/2023.

Eclipses, as you may know, are the cosmic change agents.  It’s likely that the houses of the current set of eclipses – that’s Taurus and Scorpio – will be the areas of your greatest metamorphosis for the next 18 months.

Every time a planet moves over the bendings, it can bring issues to the surface, corner us into decisions or jolt us into action. The activation of the bendings is the nexus between your seemingly everyday life events and the contents of an intense area of focus for the next 18 months. Over the next month, the movement of these planets through the bendings will indicate telling developments of your current major life story.

Mercury starts this week at the bendings of the Nodes. This may bring important news that will develop the changes that are forming for you over the next 12 months. It may get you thinking or questioning your purpose behind your current situation, especially since Mercury is separating from its conjunction with Saturn which might have had something to do with a serious, sombre future-planning and strategy mindset. It also points to the first Taurus eclipse on 19 November 2021, which opened up this can of worms you’re currently swimming through. Reflect on what was happening then as Mercury sends important messages regarding decisions, considerations and actions around this particular issue.

Use these ‘bending-activations’ to observe what’s happening and do your due diligence. They are a signal for you to keep chipping away at your evolutionary path, because if you neglect or procrastinate seemingly trivial issues now, they could come back at you through the ordeals of the hungry dragon at eclipse time in May.

Mercury’s passing through the bendings may ask you to check your facts and figures, close any communication loops, monitor your transactions, re-read that proof, service your car and other such Mercurial tasks to do with communication, travel, information and movement. Make sure you observe what’s happening and keep on top of these tasks. Mercury could also be encouraging you to be flexible and adaptable to change as it activates the bendings. If you’re at an impasse, consider how you could be more open-minded to new options and ideas.

Mercury shifts into the sign of Pisces on 10 March, a place it dreads because it can’t be as sharp and agile as it usually prefers to be. But what it lacks in motivation and mental agility, it compensates for in its adaptability, creativity and fluidity. You can alleviate most of the challenges of Mercury in Pisces if you allow space for creativity, dreaming, meditating and visioning. Which means, if you need to get any technical work done or anything requiring a strong left-brain presence, do it before the 10th March. Otherwise, you may have to push through it with much dread and possible revision of mistakes in your work until the end of March. Think of this like a mental holiday from 11-26 March, and schedule in some guilt-free right brain, creative activities during this time. Nourish your mind with soul enriching activities – you’ll probably be needing this after Mercury’s rigid journey with Saturn in Saturn’s sign for the past few weeks.

By the way, the First Quarter Moon on 10 March makes an exact trine with Saturn – this will be your last opportunity to feel super productive and constructive before the Piscean haze seeps in for the month. If you have a technical, strategic, planning or process-orientated task on your list, make this your deadline if possible.

Speaking of creativity, the Sun shifts from it’s conjunction with Jupiter last week to the nebulous, spiritual-seeking Neptune this week. Both Jupiter and Neptune share a desire to unify, connect and embrace the larger whole so the Sun transposing the light (an ancient consideration) between the two similars will help us to connect the dots, bridge worlds and concepts, find meaning and seek higher truths. This is a time where we throw away the details and focus on the essence of the greater picture and the higher purpose. It’s also a time where we are open to greater understanding, tolerance and compassion to meet our goal of connection, integration and unification. Our philanthropic heart-strings may be pulled this week so try and turn your attention to how you can be of service to fellow beings.

All round, a pretty chilled out week, possibly a bit heady at the start. Creating space and outlets for creating, being and helping would be beneficial. Indulging in escapist tendencies could be tempting this week too, so exercise limits here if that’s your weakness.

Its so nice to have something that is succinct ; NOTgushy and fluffy ; and with real astro. delineations . So much rubbish online especially about lunations . So much meaningless fluff , so much longwinded emotionalism around : this is nice and pragmatic.

Would be helpful if you gave the actual degrees in brackets. It breaks the thread having to look it up or try and visualise without.

Are you using mean nodes Or true ones ?

Anyway , Thank you very much x
