This week starts with the second of three Mercury Jupiter Oppositions (read about the first one on 3rd September)  which could see you entrenched in some kind of activity or project having to do with communication, education, teaching, learning, mentoring or travel. Mercury and Jupiter have a lot to do with knowledge and information, truth-seeking, fact-finding and the sharing of messages, ideas and news. Did you encounter anything of this nature around 3 September that you’re now developing and deepening? Perhaps an idea that sprang up then is being revisited now.

The Sun trine Pluto (19 Sep) on the same day will help you to get into the rich detail behind your Mercury Jupiter project. Whatever you’re up to, this trine will help substantiate your cause or bring light to important details that may have been missed or overlooked previously. Pluto is like a the cosmic detective that leaves no stone unturned in order to get to the bottom of any topic. You could use this trine to help you with researching, editing, budgeting, trouble shooting, problem solving or anything that can benefit from Pluto’s unsurpassed scrutinising ability.

Pluto will help you to boost your power, allow you to gain control of a situation or increase your powers of manifestation. Psychologically, you may feel more at ease with your vulnerability, as the Sun could help transform some of your fears and compulsions into powerful motivations.

While the Sun Pluto trine activates the signs of Virgo and Capricorn, Venus will also trine Uranus (20 Sep) from Virgo and Taurus, thus forming a wide grand trine configuration in all the earth signs. This grand trine configuration acts like a fertile bed of nourishing soil from which many possibilities could grow from, with the right actions.

On its own, the Venus and Uranus’ trine will allow you to feel more comfortable with your own sense of individuality and uniqueness. It could arouse spontaneous feelings of love and joy and cause you to act impulsively to your desires. New approaches could allow you to break out of a stagnant situation and gain an exciting sense of autonomy. Uranus brings new perspectives that will allow you to break free of limitations that are preventing you from living an authentic life.  Don’t ignore your impulses to try something novel or new this week – anything that can take you away from your mundane experience will be of great benefit. And, with the strong Virgo themes of work and service this month, why not make the most of this Venus Uranus trine by finding a sense of spontaneity, love and joy within your daily experience.

But together, this grand trine configuration is anchored by Venus and the Sun in Virgo, who are currently in the process of a great transmutation. Venus is deep within an underworld journey within the beams of the Sun where big shadowy issues in relating, creating and desiring are being confronted. So, from this context, we could say that the potential of this grand trine configuration could be one of great personal developments in relationships, creative projects and one’s sense of personal power. But due to the nature of trines which tend to act like latent gifts, the benefits can only be gained if you consciously put effort behind these intentions. So while the grand trine configuration could be subtle, it’s important to honour its undercurrents that are pulling you towards a psychological makeover and subconscious rejuvenation, like a snake that’s shedding its skin.

As the week nears the end, we reach the Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere (23 September) and the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere (22 September), where the days and nights share equal length. Whether you’re inviting in the new life of spring or celebrating the fall harvest, you’ll be receiving the rays of the new Mercury cycle (Mercury Cazimi) that’s occurring at the same time. This is a time of reset, especially of the mindset. New ideas, fresh perspectives and seeding of new projects can offer you a feeling of renewal and optimism for the upcoming season.

The beginning point of the Mercury cycle holds an important space for ideas to be infused into your consciousness. As this new Mercury cycle starts at 0° Libra – the equinox point – it brings an extra layer of significance to this special seeding moment, not to mention the second Mercury Jupiter opposition that we started the week on. All of these configurations aligning this week could see big ideas birthed or celebrated this quarter, even if this happens to be the ‘Mark 2’ of your initial intentions started on the first Mercury Jupiter opposition (3 Sep). If this is the case, you could use the Mercury Cazimi to gain some clarity and insight about what improvements or revisions could be made. But, in general, Mercury Cazimi is a good time to meditate, write, journal or plan a short-term project (3 months).

Can you feel something brooding inside of you that needs to be announced, shared or communicated? Are you looking to deepen your knowledge on a certain area of study? Is an intellectual or business project being sprouted? Use the Mercury Cazimi (23 Sep) to gain further clarity and guidance on these matters. Check where 0° Libra is located in your natal chart – this area of life will be activated for the next three months and will no doubt feature strongly in your intellectual pursuits. Mmutual partnerships and collaborations could augment your ideas into action given that the sign of Libra is hosting this aspect.

The ruler of Libra, Venus will be making an opposition to Neptune (24 Sep) the next day, which will help to weave loads of magic, beauty and a sense of unity into your collaborations and partnerships. The unimaginable could break through the thin veils of consciousness this week so don’t be surprised if you find yourself starting something you thought would never be possible. Embrace new dimensions of relating and creativity with this transit. But a word of warning with this transit – often we may get swept up in the moment and lose sense of grounded reality, practicality and good judgement.  If you feel you could be getting carried away this week, make sure you ground yourself and remove those rose-coloured glasses, tout suite!
