The major news for this week is the Neptune station (28 June) followed by arguably the best lunation of the year, the New Moon in Cancer (29 June).

Neptune will make its Retrograde Station early this week, but you may already have felt its presence all of last week. When this happens, we can expect to see Neptunian themes flood into our consciousness in a strong way. These themes include creativity, the arts, escaping to other worlds (mentally and physically), traveling, journeying, asking big questions, engaging our visionary senses, playing in the imaginal realms and the importance of the dreamscape.

If you haven’t already, this week is the week to step away from the pressures of your material existence so that you can create space to explore hidden possibilities that could lead to a more expansive way of living. If you’re feeling a bit jaded, overwhelmed and disillusioned about a particular situation right now, make this your calling to take a break and allow new inspirations to flow in. A change from routine, a short trip away, a day being immersed in a creative outlet, are some examples of positive ways to work with the Neptune station – basically, anything you can do to remind yourself of the expansiveness of life so you can appreciate how precious and beautiful it is.

However, with the Saturn Mars sextile happening around the Neptune Station, you may feel compelled to keep pushing on with your goals and being productive. Be cautious of giving too much focus to work and discipline on a Neptune Station because your tipping point will be much lower this week. This could lead to feelings of despair, overwhelm, exhaustion, disappointments and simply losing sight of why you’re doing what you’re doing. If you play your cards right though, you could benefit from the best of both worlds this week. Work hard and kick some goals, but at the same time, schedule in time for free-flowing, creative, imaginative activities. You could also combine a creative element to your existing work activities to maximise your impact (and sanity), OR, dedicate some hard work and effort towards a creative goal that has been pushed to the bottom of the list for way too long.

Swimming and stargazing are also great activities to do this week because they allow your physical body to feel small and light, giving you a respite from the dense and sometimes harsh matter you find yourself incarnated in. And, if you’re an early riser, you’ll be able to see the beautiful lineup of the current Morning Star planets – Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, who may remind you that there are bigger things to reach for.

The more challenging Neptunian themes that you could encounter this week are deception, fraud and illusion. It’s a good idea to run a virus scan on your computer, clear all your caches, log out to all online accounts and other things you can do to maintain your security and privacy. If you’re thinking of purchasing something big, it might be worth holding off for another couple of weeks to make sure it’s the right thing for you. The last thing you want is to deal with an ambitious salesman that doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Also be mindful of being sucked into any ‘too-good-to-be-true’ schemes, because your gullibility meter is right up there this week. This includes being convinced to take things on (or people) that you don’t have the desire for or capacity to manage. I could go on, but you get the drift. Basically, no major decisions, purchases or commitments this week.

Boundaries is an important tool this week, although it will be lacking. Neptune is the antithesis of boundaries. If you’re one to struggle with boundaries, at least knowing that this week is not going to be supportive for enforcing them, it is somewhat helpful. Make yourself unavailable or invisible if you have to avoid a situation – this is what Neptune is good for. Use it.

The day after the Neptune station, we will have a very lush New Moon in Cancer, making an exact square with Jupiter. This is a time of introspection where you’ll be consciously considering what you need in order to feel deeply nourished, nurtured, secure and connected. It’s time to get in touch with your emotional reality and be comfortable in being unashamedly you.

Also significant is that the Moon is extremely out of bounds, with a declination of 26.52 degrees from the ecliptic path. This is a highly individualistic Moon that pulsates to its own rhythm, bringing irreverence, eccentricity and subversiveness to the emotional realm.

Have you ever pushed your own emotional needs aside for the sake of peace or practicality? Or perhaps felt too embarrassed to speak up about what you need because of all the fuss it could cause? I’m sure many of you have had similar experiences. On this New Moon in Cancer, both Jupiter and the out-of-bounds Moon will help you to promote your own emotional needs and make them a priority, nevermind how inconvenient or troublesome they are for others. Some important seeds of self-nourishment and self-acknowledgment are being sown, where your emotional needs inform your personal truth. Be sure to commit to a moment of self-reflection this week to honour yours truly and tap into your personal uniqueness and individuality.

Both Neptune Retrograde and the out-of-bounds New Moon in Cancer will collaborate this week and offer you the chance to focus in on the expansiveness of your unique emotional urges, giving space to hidden talents, desires and impulses. In six months’ time, you’ll be able to see where these pulses are travelling to when we arrive at the Cancer Full Moon.

Thank you Shu! I’ve been feeling this Neptune energy, being more tired than usual and my dreams are “weirder” than what they usually (already) are 🤪
