Quote of the week

Never mistake motion for action”

Earnest Hemingway

things to do this week
  • Get some clarity on where you can project your energy and enthusiasm towards

  • Reflect on the Sagittarius Solar Eclipse from 4 December 2022 – you’re harvesting these intentions this week

  • Persistence and hard work could be paying off this week, so make sure you acknowledge any fruits of your labour trickling through

  • Use Saturn’s energy to ground your ideals and prepare your foundations for the near future

  • Notice a forward momentum around your goals and intentions for the current Mercury cycle, commenced at the Mercury Cazimi on 22 May

Transit dates
  • 14 Jun   Full Moon in Sagittarius

  • 14 Jun   Mercury re-enters Gemini

  • 14 Jun   Sun trine Saturn

  • 16 Jun   Sun square Neptune

  • 17 Jun   Mercury Morning Elongation

  • 19 Jun   Venus square Saturn, sextile Neptune

All dates in Australian Eastern Standard Time (+10GMT) – Please adjust for your time zone

There’s a Full Moon in Sagittarius that opens this week and it looks like it will bring a bit of activity, momentum and motivation to the collective sentiment. A Sagittarius Moon appeals to our adventurous side and finds us searching for answers to the big questions in life with never ending curiosity and indulgent philosophical exchanges. Just like the archer releasing its arrow, you may feel a forceful and direct approach this week. This energy is great for going after what you want, but the question to ask yourself is, where is your target? Knowing where to shoot your arrow this week will be the difference between a week of productive action or one of misused energy. Perhaps make a mental note on where you can project your energy and enthusiasm this week as things could easily get scattered and messy real fast.

In fact, if you cast your mind back to the Sagittarius New Moon on 4 December 2021, which happened to be a Total Solar Eclipse, it’s likely that any decisions, intentions or life situations around that time will have its current outcome occurring with the Full Moon this week. Think about what you were envisaging at that time and look back at your diaries as this may help you locate your target to which you can aim your bow towards this week.

We have a nice Sun trine Saturn to anchor in the dispersive mutable energy of the Full Moon that’s dominating this week. Coming off a Retrograde Station recently (5 June), Saturn is moving in a backwards direction from Earth’s perspective until 23 October. Symbolically, this is an internal review of your life structures occurring behind the scenes – a gradual dismantling and rebuilding of foundational aspects holding up your ability to survive / thrive in the world. Subtle workings are happening over the next five months that are helping you preserve your future self. To illustrate by way of an example – my son became particularly ‘difficult’ on the week approaching the Saturn station – a lot of resistance, defiance and difficulties at this kinder. Because this started at the Saturn station, it’s a sign to me that something of his internal foundations is undergoing a review. He’ll be starting primary school next year – a massive shift from pre-school mentality, and it’s as though Saturn is signaling some work that needs to be done over the next five months, to prepare him to become more resilient for the school structure next year.

Since Saturn’s station two weeks ago, you too may have noticed a higher level of negation, obstructions, resistance or consequences in your daily affairs. But, Saturn’s barriers could possibly be indicators of cosmic reality-checks, ensuring that you’re on a sensible path or preparing the ground for something important in the future (as I believe is the case with my son).

With the Sun trine to Saturn this week, the benefits of having endured these drab Saturnian challenges may become apparent to you. Persistence and hard work could be paying off this week, so make sure you acknowledge any fruits of your labour trickling through. But, in true Saturn fashion, this is not a call for celebrations but rather a ‘I-told-you-so’ coming as a form of reassurance. Stability, productivity, longevity and discipline are some benefits that Saturn can offer to this otherwise flighty and scattered Full Moon. Make use of this grounding anchor while the momentum of your arrow is in full force. It can be a highly effective and well balanced combination to execute your lofty ideals in a well structured manner.

Venus also creates a similar effect by squaring Saturn and sextiling Neptune on the same day (19 Jun). Again we see a grounding / restrictive force concurrently with an expansive / idealist impulse. No doubt, you’ll be pulled in two directions especially in matters to do with the heart, those we hold dear to us, our social connections and pleasures in life. It’s a week where you may have to choose over whether you go with your heart’s desires or life’s practicalities. These two parallel realities may not see eye to eye but you may find that your personal relationships, creative impulses and desires are the perfect areas to provide a bridge between these important realities. Again, Saturn is balancing out the more lofty ideals of Neptune and you may be able to make use of this grounded-ness to turn your dreams into reality.

The other positive transit this week is Mercury re-entering into its own sign of Gemini, where it can offer strong communications, effective multitasking, efficient travel and technological wins. Mercury entered into Gemini for the first time on 22 May, which was the Mercury Cazimi that started off its new 135-day cycle. After a short reversal in Taurus, Mercury re-enters Gemini and re-activates that same Cazimi point this week, this time with greater speed and forward direction.  Events related to 22 May will re-ignite this week and you may likely see some progress, momentum and forward direction on these matters. On top of this, Mercury’s Morning Elongation on 17 June will further add to the momentum of this week because you’ll start to animate your Cazimi intentions in a more conscious and outward manner. Be sure to check your diary to see what you initiated on 22 May at the Mercury Cazimi – if you follow my blog and participated in some kind of Mercury Cazimi ritual  / intention setting event on 22 May, you may notice some of your magic manifesting this week. If you don’t see anything happening, it’s a good time to re-enchant this intention through more ritual work, meditations, visualisations, mantras or whatever craft medium you feel comfortable with.

I just started keeping a journal (mostly for tracking the planets) so my memory isn’t too good going back to December lol… I hope you’re feeling all better. I think about you all the time when I’m star gazing wondering if you’re seeing way down under what I’m seeing in the sky. Jupiter, Venus, Mars the Moon, have you seen them lately? Just magnificent!

Ooohhh yes, the lovely line up in the early morning. How wonderful that these stars are capturing all of us star gazers and transmitting beams to each other. Hard to believe that even the Babylonians and those before them were seeing these same stars as what we’re seeing too!
