To commemorate Jupiter moving into its new home of Taurus for the next 12 months, I recorded a discussion with Alex Trenoweth about her research on Jupiter cycles which is the basis behind her book, Growing Pains: Astrology in Adolescence (available on Amazon).
Alex leads a busy life as an Astrologer and Educator who has used astrology in her teaching practice to become a more effective teacher as well as helping parents become more in tune with their children’s individual needs.
This episode is a must-listen for any teachers, parents, homeschooling parents and anyone that works with children and adolescence. We talk about significant turning points in the 12-year Jupiter cycle that create important milestones in a young person’s development, as well as other coinciding transits such as the Saturn opposition and Uranus sextile that add to the complexities in the life of a developing youth.
Alex also provides lots of insightful nuggets about the learning styles of Jupiterian signs that she encountered in her yearly cohorts of students. We also discuss some of our thoughts around Jupiter in Taurus for 2023/2024.

Alex Trenoweth is an author, teacher and award-winning astrologer. Her book,“Growing Pains”, was written as an aid for adolescents, their parents and their teachers. Her work has been featured in Dell Horoscope, Kindred Spirit, The Career Astrologer and many other publications. In 2016, she began working with the Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology (KIA), teaching Western Astrology and bringing astrologers from across the world together to share friendship and scholarship at the Institute for Vedic Culture’s conference in Kolkata India.
