The perennial issue of missing birth times can be frustrating for astrologers, but I wanted to demonstrate one way you could use a Solar Return chart that can produce meaningful symbology for forecasting.

In this brief look at Robert Kennedy Junior’s chart without a birth time, I will look at multiple consecutive Solar Return charts with other activations to identify important stories that can be told with an untimed chart.

Kennedy’s four-year Sun-Pluto Journey

The 27th degree of Capricorn where Kennedy’s Sun is located holds significant importance.  Since the beginning of 2020, the Saturn-Pluto cycle commenced very near to Kennedy’s Sun. This Saturn Pluto cycle instigated the pandemic and Kennedy has been very vocal in the area of vaccine injuries as a result of the mandated covid vaccinations. 

Pluto has been lingering in the vicinity of Kennedy’s Sun ever since and he’s endured many instances of censorship and silencing, as the full force of authoritarian control has been exerted on him.

Even without a birth time, we can use the Solar Return chart to see a striking story that’s currently emerging in Kennedy’s life. From 2021 to 2024, every Solar Return chart for Kennedy has the Sun conjunct Pluto within a 3 degree orb. What this tells us is that there is a four year unfoldment of a story in his life that holds themes of power, corruption and binds (Pluto) that he is experiencing. It shows a compulsiveness to excavate deeply systemic issues entrenched in his world (Pluto in Capricorn) for which he feels obligated to shine a light on through his leadership, insights and courage (Sun). 

In 2021, Kennedy released his damning book, The Real Anthony Fauci, which critiqued the actions of the leading physician/immunologist during the HIV epidemic and Covid pandemic. Here we see the first chapter of Kennedy’s Sun-Pluto conjunction exploding onto the scene exposing the scandals, danger and corruption on big pharma, public health and the war on democracy.

The 2021 Solar Return chart, which also featured a dissident Mars Uranus conjunction and the newly formed Jupiter Saturn conjunction in a brand new triplicity, was a year where he could no longer contain his inner urges. Despite the previous year’s Solar Return chart setting the scene with its Saturn Pluto conjunction, most likely his muse whilst writing the book, 2021 was the year that the explosive Plutonic revelations began. 

Kennedy started this four-year journey with the release of his book in 2021 and will resolve it by the 2024 presidential election. During these four years, he will be moving through an 8th house profection in 2021, 9th house in 2022, 10 house in 2023 and 11th house in 2024. 

So far, the symbology told by the profected houses can be seen in his life. In 2021, the 8th house profection produced the exposé of his book against alleged corruption in the pharma industry. The 9th house in 2022 saw continued publicity of his views with alternative media being utilised as conventional streams censored him. Currently in his 10th house profection, Kennedy announced he will run for the next presidency, at the onset of Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius and Saturn into Pisces. We’re yet to see the 11th profected house come into being, but traditionally considered a lucky house, this is a positive sign for Kennedy. However, we cannot fully judge the condition of the 11th house without a time of birth.

Activating the ancestral legacy: Stellium in Capricorn

The four years of Sun-Pluto themed Solar Return charts happen in the vicinity of Kennedy’s natal stellium of planets in Capricorn, activating important themes of family structures, suffering, hardships and fortitude.

At the time of birth, Venus is in the beams and about to approach a conjunction with the Sun. This painful transition between Morning Star to Evening Star that occurs shortly after Kennedy’s birth alludes to the powerful challenges that he’s had to surrender to in order to recreate new pathways for himself. 

Mimicking Inanna’s descent to the Underworld where she is killed then resurrected, Kennedy has had to overcome the death-rebirth story himself. He’s endured many notable tragedies in his family line, including his own father and uncle. His prenatal syzergy was also a Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, and his birth occurred two days prior to a Total Lunar Eclipse in Cancer. The death of his father and uncle are testament to Kennedy’s birth through the eclipse canal, where he not only lost his father, but his country’s leader.

With the removal of light and Underworld themes surrounding his birth, it’s understandable that Kennedy has been motivated towards a life of advocacy for minorities, environmental protection and counter-cultural opinions as well as journeying through some pretty dark times himself through his previous drug addictions.  The karmic obligations to shed light on taboo matters dates back further beyond his birth, into the work of his ancestral lineage. Kennedy was born into a life where his intelligence and communicative ability (signified by a Sun Mercury conjunction) and his seeking of approval (signified by Venus North Node conjunction) is the process for rehabilitating wounds on a personal, familial and social level.

Interestingly, Mercury being combust the Sun could explain his rare voice disorder while Venus conjunct the North Node suggests distortions around his Venusian themes – ie. popularity amongst minority groups whilst being ostracised by the conservative world.

Like Father, like son

Similarly, Kennedy’s father, Robert Kennedy also has a stellium in Capricorn with some planets sharing the same degree. Kennedy’s Mercury Sun conjunction nestles perfectly on his fathers Moon and South Node. Kennedy’s Venus-North Node-Chiron is within orb of his fathers Jupiter and Venus. This certainly shows that there is a strong family karmic line that connects Kennedy with his father, as if his mission in the world (Kennedy’s North Node) is to resolve the unfinished business in his late father’s life (father’s South Node).  Kennedy’s Chiron North Node conjunction suggests significant resolutions required in this lifetime to honour the family legacy as a process of personal healing.

The resolution of the Sun-Pluto journey: The presidential campaign

Looking forward, the 2024 Solar Return chart is the final year in Kennedy’s Sun-Pluto journey. It will see him in the most active part of the presidential campaign, leading into the upcoming election by the end of that year. Whether he is successful or not in this presidential election, what’s clear is that the past 4-5 years of ancestral duty experienced internally will be seeking resolution. 2024 will be a year where the Sun-Pluto story calls for urgent action as this once-in-a-lifetime aspect comes to a close, bringing with it its final attempts for power, control and leadership.

Interestingly, during the peak of the election period, we see Pluto dipping back into the last degree of Capricorn for the second time, between September 2024 to November 2024, where it will again be close enough to activate Kennedy’s Sun-Mercury conjunction. This will could offer Kennedy a lot of conviction and magnetism to his campaign messages.

Kennedy will also be going through his 6th Jupiter Return at the time of the election, signifying an important new cycle of expansion, despite the hostile environment he finds himself in (Jupiter in detriment and retrograde). Playing around the fringe communities might continue to feature prominently under this new Jupiter cycle.

Two other striking aspects in the 2024 Solar Return chart are:

Chiron, North Node, Moon stellium in Aries which is squared by sign to the final Sun-Pluto conjunction. A resonance exists between these planets in the natal configurations of both Kennedy (Chiron conjunct North Node) and his late father (Moon conjunct South Node). That the combination of these factors are joined in the 2024 Solar Return chart shows a kind of coming together of both life purposes into a year that Kennedy is destined to enact. It very much looks like Kennedy’s quest for deep ancestral healing combined with the spirit of his late father’s forgotten dreams of the people. The overcoming trine from Venus adds plenty of support.

Mars-Mercury conjunction in the Capricorn zone shows extreme power, productivity and effectiveness available to Kennedy during this year. The exalted Mars will add ruthless drive and energy towards a highly on-point Mercury at its brightest morning brilliancy. Mercury approaches Mars with a convincing array of facts and details for a competitive edge.

Further activations: Firdaria, Annual Profections, Eclipses and Transits

Kennedy will be turning 70 in this Solar Return which indicates that he will enter his once-in-a-lifetime North Node Firdaria period which will oversee the next three years. During a North Node activation, one can accelerate the growth of their destiny and enthusiastically seek out opportunities to materialise their ambitions.

Adding to the North Node stellium in the 2024 Solar Return chart, Kennedy’s North Node Firdaria activation will further emphasise the importance of enacting Kennedy’s ambitions in line with his family legacy. The sign of Aries will add further urgency and drive. 

Not least, the Aries-Libra territory is also being activated by the eclipses during 2024, with the April Total Solar Eclipse in Aries exactly on Kennedy’s Solar Return North Node. The combination of the Eclipses, Firdaria and Transit activation of the North Node will certainly produce some big events in Kennedy’s life in 2024 which we can all watch for.

Lastly, with the 11th house profection happening in Kennedy’s 2024 Solar Return, illustrates an environment of potential, future optimism, active communities and networks that’s coming to Kennedy.

Knowing your timing techniques

While we don’t have a timed birth chart for Robert Kennedy, the layering of various timing systems that have the capacity for charts with no birth times can be extremely helpful in getting a broad picture of a person’s forecast.

In this example, I’ve looked at consecutive Solar Returns to draw out longer aspectual relationships that are meaningful or interesting. I like to focus on big repeating aspects that happen once in a lifetime, as they produce urgent outcomes that can be quite tangible in life. 

Comparing natal placements with Solar Return placements is also a vital exercise, whether you have a time or not (provided that the Moon, angles and cusps are left out of the picture).

Then layering other techniques such as Firdaria, Annual Profections, Eclipses and Transit activations can also be illuminating to identify peak times during that Solar Return year when events might likely take place, according to the symbology of the planets involved. For each timelord system you use, it’s helpful to investigate what capacity they can offer for accommodating loose or no birth times. Creatively applying these techniques, layer upon layer, can build patterns from which to draw your judgements from.
