What started around 11 June is being addressed again this week, with Venus making a square to Jupiter (22 Aug) for the second of a three-time transit. During that week in June, the issue of your life’s contentment was being brought up. Questions about whether you’re happy with where things were at was the focus for that week. But at that time, I suggested that there may have been instability or confusion around matters which could have made it difficult for you to make any decisions. If things eventuated back then, there’s a possibility that it could have come up for review at a later date.

That date is now. Think back to what the first two weeks of June was about because it’s likely that you’ll be getting back to those matters this week. It could be an unfinished project that started then or an issue raised with someone, perhaps a meeting about an idea…just look back on your calendar as this will guide you as to what you might need to revisit this week when Venus squares Jupiter again. The First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius (24 Aug) will help you bring those matters to a more structured and tangible form after making some revisions this week. The Venus Jupiter tension can be good for growing your desire and hunger for something that you desire. It will highlight how much you really want something so make the most of this transit by aiming high with your goals and intentions. This transit can show you the possibilities of positive thought, active goal setting and easeful manifestation.

The Sun moves into Virgo (23 Aug) which usually instigates a month for organisation, efficiency and systematic processes, however for the next three years, the Sun’s influence in Virgo will be faced with new obstacles as Saturn has settled into the opposing Pisces sign for the next three years. Saturn in Pisces  brings a new level of destabilisation which the Sun in Virgo will be acutely aware of every time it comes here every year around August / September. You may become hyper focused on imperfections and actively seek out ways for improvement, working against a background of chaos that’s trying to teach you the lesson of surrender. This opposition can bring a level of frustration and annoyance similar to having to ‘go back to the drawing board’ about something that you had hoped would work. The negating force of Saturn could also feel like a suppression of enthusiasm and vitality that might send you to a lower energy state. This opposition is in fact the halfway point of the Saturn Synodic Cycle which is a pivotal moment of a cycle that commenced on 17 February 2023. At this stage of the cycle, you can become aware of an internal battle between your spirited aspirations and the reality you find yourself in, possibly relating to something you started in February 2023. You might be battling with the chaos and incoherence caused by limited structures / foundations, authorities, bureaucratic systems, rules and regulations, causing you to do extra work around. Our Virgo friends will feel the limitations, obstacles and rigidity of Saturn’s opposition to the Sun (27 Aug) strongly.

But the good news is that the speed of the Sun will quickly move out of this opposing force and shift to a stronger position, meaning that whatever obstacles you may come across this week will pass quickly. In addition, Mercury’s Retrograde (23 Aug) will bring you a week of reviews, repetitions and reversals and however frustrating this could be, you’re probably ‘dodging a bullet’ by doing so. By turning in the opposite direction, Mercury is essentially avoiding a conjunction with Mars who is pressing forwards. Therefore, the bad association that Mercury Retrograde usually gets in the media might on this occasion be saving you from a potential conflict. If you find yourself biting your tongue, holding off on confronting someone with an issue, refraining from sending that letter or signing that document, you can thank Mercury Retrograde for its wisdom in waiting. There’s probably something you could have missed at your end. Spend some time this week to trawl through the finer details and make necessary adjustments.

Meanwhile, Mars will press ahead to form an opposition to Neptune (22 Aug). This is also a day of potential low energy which may cause you to feel deflated and unmotivated. It could suggest the need for more sleep and rest as fatigue could potentially lead to misunderstandings and regrets. Neptune may also open up your sensitivities to illness, infections and energetic influences so extra rest and protection might be needed this week. Mars will also trine Pluto (25 Aug) before it enters Libra (27 Aug) suggesting that this is a time where looking at alternatives and out of the box ideas could be helpful.
