Last week, the Moon left the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio and made an opposition to the rebellious planet, Uranus, possibly bringing up some deep, restless emotions that ignited feelings of oppression. The Moon’s aspect with Uranus last week suggests a more internally-felt sense of dissatisfaction, restlessness and anxieties related to Uranus’ demands to break free from authoritative control, dominance, hierarchy and other such controlling influences. These internal feelings could be manifesting into more conscious, outward events this week as the Sun now makes a post-eclipse conjunction with Uranus (9 May). It’s clear that Uranus is demanding some attention from us, making strong aspects to the two ‘lights’ immediately after the big eclipse.

The nature of Uranus can be jolting, disruptive and sudden. Liberation and exhilaration is its key motivation. Whatever events or emotions that the eclipse raised for you will likely lead to feelings of wanting more freedom, autonomy and truth. It will be important to honour your personal need for independence and authenticity – it’s not about being selfish (if you were wondering). They’re likely to be important for you to live truthfully (and sanely). Uranus will bring this to the top of the agenda this week, so be proactive or perhaps changes could be forced upon you.

Also featured in the eclipse last week was Mercury, who plays an important role as the eclipse disperses this week. Mercury will make a Morning Heliacal Rise (10 May) bringing important announcements with it about the events of last week. The morning rise of Mercury can be very stimulating to our voices – both yours and others. When this occurs, you may feel the need to actively speak up and proclaim your message, even if it threatens to agitate the vibe. If deep emotions from last week’s full moon eclipse moved you in any way, the Mercury rise this week can help you to voice your feelings. In the sign of the stable Bull, Mercury’s voice can be more calm and tender. But if you set a bull off, they too can charge quite violently. Be mindful that elevating your voice this week could cause a stir if you act impatiently, without proper consideration. Mercury in Taurus will likely defend things / concepts of value, possessions, money, desires, comforts, self-esteem, confidence, stability and security. These sensitive points might ignite yours and other people’s voices this week.

Perhaps for good reason. Shortly after its heliacal rise, Mercury sextiles Saturn (12 May) on one side, and Venus on the other side (13 May). Being on the midpoint between a Saturn and Venus trine (13 May) suggests that your rationale is based on achieving longevity and harmony whether it be in your relationships, work, family or other personal matters. Saturn together with Venus can highlight sacrifices, duties and compromises that you should attend to in order to bring long term stability and happiness, despite not being able to reap the rewards immediately. It’s like growing a tree – the hard work put into raising the sapling will one day become a valuable resource. Mercury’s role this week can help you to voice matters that will aid in achieving this Saturn-Venus goal. If you need to hold space for a difficult conversation and believe it’s necessary for your personal sustainability, then this configuration will lend you this opportunity, provided you stay composed and detached as much as possible. If you managed to sit with the Mercury Cazimi last week and received some insights, then this Morning Rise will be a time to start taking active steps towards manifesting your contemplations.
