INTERPSYCLE ASTROLOGY
a home dedicated to my musings on astrological lore
Interpsycle Observator: 11 November – 17 November 2024
Transit dates
All dates are stated in Universal Time (UT 0:00hrs). Please adjust for your timezone.
- 12 Nov Venus enters Capricorn
- 13 Nov Mercury square Saturn
- 16 Nov Saturn Direct
- 16 Nov Full Moon in Taurus
- 17 Nov Sun opposite Uranus
The Saturnian themes dominate this month with Saturn moving Direct (16 Nov), making a statement about structure, responsibility and discipline in context of the long term sustainability of your life. Expect to feel the need to bunker down and get to work, foregoing fun and frivolity. Occupy yourself with the much needed tasks to establish some solid foundations for your future self. Sometimes, this strong Saturn energy could look like obstacles, limitations, sadness and despondency. Reframe the lower vibrational feeling of the Saturn impact by engaging a stoic attitude and looking ahead to future rewards that could be achieved if you started the hard work now.
Mercury will also begin a short story with Saturn this week, making the first of three Mercury Saturn squares (13 Nov). This aspect story will last until the end of the year with the following two encounters occurring on 7 and 27 December.
On face value, the Mercury Saturn square could be a frustrating one, filled with communication blockages, issues with messaging, voice or hearing difficulties (physical or metaphorical), harsh words, delays, hold ups, transactional impediments and other challenges involved when the planet of communication and travel meets resistance.
Mercury is moving into a debilitated position this month as it prepares to go retrograde so it’s likely that this week might feel like a bit of a drag. Boredom could creep in as tedious tasks stimulate you to look for more distraction and interests. But you must forego the amusements and focus on the details of the dry topics, despite the motivation to do so. Carelessness or negligence could be an issue. Remember that this aspect is here to stay for a couple of months so if you think you might have escaped the severity of this tension this time around, it’s likely the consequences will return in December. Likewise, if you can tackle the tasks of this transit this week, it might hold you in good stead throughout December as you complete those tasks.
The positive thing is that Venus will also move into Capricorn (12 Nov) which at one level adds to the strong Saturnian themes of this week but in a way that brings out its more refined qualities. As soon as Venus ventures into Saturn’s sign, the pair will grow together to form a mutual sextile relationship where they both support and promote each other’s agendas like a healthy partnership.
This Venus-Saturn sextile relationship will highlight two parts of your natal chart (hence two parts of your life) that will be working well for you until the first week of December. It will bring pleasure, joyful outcomes, harmony, abundance, grace and rewards to long term ventures, foundations and your work. Take note of the areas of life under the Pisces and Capricorn houses – these are the areas to be focusing on to reap the benefits of this month’s gift.
The Full Moon in Taurus (16 Nov) and Sun opposition to Uranus (17 Nov) will make all matters manifest and illuminated to you by the week’s end. There’s no hiding the inevitable work that needs to be done, as well as the obvious rewards that will ensue as a result.
