The past few weeks have been dominated by big outer planet movements, indicative of long held stories or broader geopolitical frameworks. This week, it’s the inner planets which are active, meaning that things are being stimulated at the private or interpersonal level.
Venus has been quite happy over the past month being in her home of Libra. However, as we open this week, Venus will square Pluto (23 Sep) and then enter her sign of debility, Scorpio (23 Sep), which might feel like quite the mood change. Scorpio is a much lonelier place for Venus to be in which might see some lower vibration creep through the week. Her square to Pluto only intensifies the level of alienation or disconnection that you could experience this week. Not least, we are also in between two eclipses, with the next Solar Eclipse in Venus’ sign of Libra. Expect some old wounds to resurface.
Needless to say, Venus, the socialite planet will not really enjoy this time, however, there’s always a way to see the opportunity in every aspect. When Venus enters Scorpio, you could be forced to go it alone for a bit. Distance, separations and conflict might need to happen in order for relationships to be sustainable. But distance or separations could also build independence, resilience and ultimately, personal empowerment. Perhaps it might be helpful to organise solo quests or adventures to help you reconnect with your meaning and purpose. The Third Quarter Moon in Cancer (25 Sep) will help you make sense of your current situation through its powers of reflection and integration. Part of the processing of this Third Quarter Moon in Cancer will also be about what to keep and what to cut out, thanks to its application to the severing Mars.
Mercury spends this last week in its own sign of Virgo, making some final aspects to Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (25 & 26 Sep). As with Venus, Mercury moving out of its own sign will dampen the mood too. Moreso, Mercury is now within the beams of the Sun and you might get that burnout feeling, mental overload or fatigue take over, especially from the cerebral level. The temptation to go gallivanting might still be strong but the mind is losing its sharpness and setting into exhaustion so try not to push yourself too far. Spare some reserves for another big week in astrology next week!
