In partnership with Kepler College, I’ll be teaching a 2-part workshop on Firdaria (or Fardar), an ancient Persian predictive technique with its roots tracing back to the the Zoroastrian lineage.

This workshop will be held over two consecutive weekends starting this Saturday 10 June, 4.30pm (Pacific Time) / Sunday 11 June, 9.30am (Australian Eastern Time).

What is Firdaria?

Fardaria is a symbolic timing system which divides the life into 51 sub-periods over a 75 year cycle.
Each sub period is ruled by one or two of the traditional seven planets or  the Lunar Nodes for a certain portion of time.

Who can use Firdaria?

If you have foundational astrology skills and know how to determine the planetary condition of the traditional planets in a natal chart, then you can use the Firdaria system to forecast the nature of each of these portions of time in a person’s life.

What are the benefits of using Firdaria?

The Firdaria lords can also provide helpful guidance for you or your clients about the most effective strategies, activities, projects or remediation tools that will resonate strongly with an individual’s development for that specific period of time.

In addition, you can also use past Firdaria periods to get a case history of events that can help you to develop a more robust prediction about the upcoming period.

And, because there is an ordered sequence of planetary periods over the 75 years, I find Firdaria really useful to address client questions on the fly because you can clearly see likely themes unfolding for the client as the planetary periods cycle through.

But ultimately, Firdaria really shines when you can team it up with other techniques to provide a wholistic judgement of the chart. My favourite techniques to blend with Firdaria are Annual Profections and Transits, and to some degree Solar Revolutions.

I also use Firdaria as the main tool to keep track of my three children’s development in life. Their Firdaria periods really inform the choices that I make as their primary caregiver because it helps me to understand what they need, even if they don’t have the language or awareness to communicate this.
