If you found last week to be a bit shaky and unnerving with the intense outer planetary activity and the beginning of the eclipse portal, you might find pockets of solace this week. While we’re within two weeks of an eclipse which means that we are energetically being pulled into a vortex of turbulence, technically the eclipse in Pisces next week is only a Partial Lunar Eclipse, meaning that it’s just a mini one which will grow into totality over the coming year. The purpose of this first eclipse is to simply observe what the coming two years might look like.
Interpsycle Observator: 2 September – 8 September 2024
We enter the eclipse portal this week with the New Moon in Virgo (3 Sep) eventually becoming a Full Moon Lunar Eclispe in Pisces in a couple of weeks. Take this week as a new little chapter opening for you, which holds many possibilities and mysteries for the next two year period. If you have strong planetary or angular placements across the Virgo-Pisces axis, then this will be a significant week for you. You’re not quite there in the rich, transformative abyss of the eclipse yet, but you’re about to take that inevitable dive in.
Interpsycle Observator: 26 August – 1 September 2024
Drawing to the end of August is a closing of the Leo Lunation Cycle which commenced at the beginning of the month. This week’s Third Quarter Moon in Gemini (26 Aug) sets the tone for you to consider the many shifts and changes happening around you. It calls for your flexibility in your way of being, especially through the agility of your mind. You may feel inclined to step away from that which troubles you, rather than to stay and fight. Again, this all happens in the busy Gemini region of your chart which has been receiving quite a lot of activity, speed, new challenges and possible opportunities. It’s no wonder that energy levels might be low with so much happening in the mental space. The best medicine could be a mental health day this week to avoid further brain stimulation and anxiety. Make some space to reflect on the activities that have taken place in August, especially in the areas related to where Gemini is located in your natal chart. What worked? What didn’t? What will you take forward with you? What efforts could you do without?

Continuing from last week is the standout T-square planetary alignment involving the two malefic planets Mars and Jupiter, and the two benefic planets Venus and Jupiter. All four planets are engaging in a high-octane race to excel your personal growth by pushing you towards your limits and accelerating you beyond your stagnancies. Last week, Mars conjuncted Jupiter (14 Aug) and Mars squared Saturn (16 Aug) to commence this project. The advice last week was to wisely use this extraordinary power that’s available to you, and direct it towards your more important, aspirational ventures. It was also a lesson around humbling yourself to the work of life in the changing states of suffering and happiness.
Interpsycle Observator: 12 August – 18August 2024
The standout event for this week is a very dynamic Mars Jupiter Conjunction (14 Aug) which is part of a bigger picture being presented to us this week. This is a big T-square configuration that will be felt for the next two weeks, involving the two malefic planets, Mars and Saturn, as well as the two benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter.
The first installment of this configuration starts when Mars and Jupiter come together. There’s lots of activity and dynamism when Mars and Jupiter conjoin, and their entrepreneurial spirit could springboard some exciting, stimulating and fulfilling results. On the other hand their impact could also be abrasive, aggravating and detrimental, leaving behind a mess to clean up. The common trait is that the nature of this pair will be short lived and unsustainable so if things turn bad, it won’t last long and vice versa.

Mercury begins its underworld journey as it stations retrograde to kick this week off. This Mercury Retrograde (5 Aug) is the second of its cycle this year happening in all three fire signs – the places of inspiration, ascension, impulse and aspiration. Currently Mercury in Virgo is completing the Aries cycle which began in April 2024. Part of this completion cycle involves Mercury moving backwards from our Earth’s perspective, symbolising a journey into the underworld to recreate itself. As Mercury Stations Retrograde this week, you may find yourself contemplating the journey you’ve been on since early April when the current cycle started. Whatever you started then might somehow feel like it’s moving into stagnation. You may be prodded to rethink your ways and consider alternative measures that might help revive your motivation. Your early April intention may need to be revisited in some way as Mercury Stations Retrograde. In this way, this Mercury Retrograde continues the path of the reset which started last week at the Leo New Moon.
Interpsycle Observator: 29 July – 4 August 2024
A new cycle begins this week with the New Moon in Leo (4 Aug), which might be a welcome reset. Last lunation seemed to be a hectic combination of volatile aspects and helpful transits happening all at once, mainly occurring across the fixed signs of Leo, Taurus and Aquarius. While we’re still in the thick of Leo season, it’s pleasing to know that the planets are shifting into more amicable placements which may ease tensions a little.
This is the first Leo New Moon in over 250 years with Pluto staring down at it from the opposite sign of Aquarius. In last week’s article, I wrote about the raw and piercing new vibe of Leo season that we will now experience for the next 20 years, thanks to Pluto’s new position at 0 degrees Aquarius, the opposite sign of Leo. This week’s New Moon will be the first major event of the Sun that will inaugurate this 20 year trend, so it’s quite a powerful New Moon if you think about it in this way.
