There’s not a lot of transits happening this week, but rather, the residual sentiments of Pluto entering Aquarius is still very much in our collective field. The intensity of the fixed angles (Aquarius / Leo / Taurus / Scorpio) is building as the planetary system is starting to congregate in these signs. The Sun and Pluto in Aquarius, and the semi-permanent fixture of Jupiter and Uranus remain in Taurus, awaiting further activations. Meanwhile, they slowly brew in these fixed signs, highlighting longer term plans and issues bubbling away in your mind.
By mid week, the Moon will have entered the sign of Scorpio which means it will activate these fixed angles directly. You may feel that the broader, more impactful themes instigated by Pluto entering Aquarius, trickle down into habitual life effects, igniting deep passions and emotional responses. The fight to maintain control over your deep feelings and fears might be met with the pressure of bearing your vulnerabilities to those that matter. A week of confrontations and heavy sharing of inner thoughts might be on the agenda. You might be called to pry open your secrets or face up to some hard truths about yourself, for the sake of a more efficient way forward.
Thinking about a greater sense of liberation and independence from your current binds might be the motivation you need to bare your truth to yourself and others this week. This is especially given that the week commences with a Mars trine to Uranus (29 Jan) which can push you to act out of your usual character if it means you might benefit from much needed change and new ways of operating. The control being felt this week might be strong – that is, control you have over others or that being exerted over you.
Ego battles will have to be navigated but this is not the week where logic and reason prevails. Rather, irrationality could be met with misunderstandings as the week favours the shifting tides of our emotional responses over rational thought. Mercury will sextile Neptune (2 Feb) which might leave you more confused if you try and make sense of things this week. Observing your impulses without the need to control them is better than finding reasons. Take a nap or meditate instead.
The house of Scorpio this week will hold the most turbulence, changes and inner tensions. Dive in and feel through the intensity, as this is the area of life where you will meet your passion and deepest truth. Take great care to honour your body and physical rhythms in response to these pressures.

Hi, I’m Shu.
As a professional astrologer with nearly 20 years of study, I do more than read charts for clients. I embody astrological lore in my every day life as a grower, beekeeper, mother, art hobbyist and a dabbler of planetary magic. Guiding, translating, writing, timing, observing, crafting, counselling and teaching are all things I do to bring astrology to the world.

Thank you Shu and happy New Year (never too late to wish it!). As a Scorpio rising with Pluto now squaring my Natal Pluto in Scorpio 1 degree I just feel changes to come. On the 1st of February I will discuss my PhD and close a very painful ten years cycle, the discussion might be weird and tense as I had lot of power struggles with my very absent, crazy professor. Let’s hope for the best, definitely the combination on the first (in Europe) is more suitable for the party after than the discussion ah aha. Fingers crossed! Have a good week! Blessings
