Significant milestones are being reached for three planets in their synodic cycles this week. This may make an important week especially if Jupiter, Saturn or Mercury are your ruling timelords at the moment. If this is you, it’s a good week to pull out your consultation recording to check your alignment with these planetary shifts.

Jupiter and the Sun will come to their annual opposition (3 Nov) which on first glance can seem like a transit of opportunity and good fortune. This could certainly bring an awareness of great things happening around you which you could benefit from. Jupiter rules study, teachers, gurus and priests, as well as wisdom, understanding and a sense of hope or meaning. Materially, Jupiter can also indicate success, abundance and promotion.

But an important shift is occurring in their aspectual relationship which shows a change in their power dynamics. The happy-go-lucky nature of Jupiter might now be less apparent as it hands over power to the Sun. This could indicate situations where you’re required to take a stronger leadership role and put your ego and status on the line in order to reach these opportunities. The Sun’s emerging strength will require you to stand truthfully in your convictions, even if it may feel a bit uncomfortable to share aspects of yourself publicly, in order to gain any progress. In other words, you’re going to have to dig deep and escalate your efforts in order to reap the benefits and successes.

For the week following this transit, you might also reflect on the pros and cons of such opportunities and goals. Jupiter will be in a shadowy Acronycal Phase where it can’t be seen during dusk or dawn, symbolising that you’ll be getting an insight into the hidden aspects of these Jupiterian offerings. Maybe you might see a side of your teacher that you weren’t aware of or perhaps you could realise that there is a catch to that great deal you were offered. Having these realisations might burst your bubble a bit, but be thankful for these insights coming into your awareness. Things might not always be what they seem during this phase. This is especially true for those with a Jupiter timelord at the moment.

Saturn will station direct (4 Nov) after five months of backwards motion from our perspective. Again, this will be significant if you have a Saturn timelord right now. You may experience a literal turnaround of events that might be long awaited. There’s a sense that all the hard work and perseverance you’ve put into something might finally be paying off. There might also be the possibility of things starting to speed up again after a period of frustrating stalls. You may like to review the Interpsycle Observator during the week Saturn turned retrograde to remind you of what the sentiment was at that time. Often, we pick up where we left off from the Retrograde initiation (17 Jun) and this event also tells of a greater story of Saturn moving into its new sign of Pisces in March.

The key theme of Saturn in Pisces is the fact that, like it or not, you need to get used to instability. Saturn rules your foundations and when it’s in a mutable watery sign of Pisces, this could mean that change IS your foundation. It’s about learning how to pivot when necessary and live in the ebb and flow of life’s adventures. Being in Pisces for another two years means that you might as well embrace chaos and change into your life. This Saturn stationing week might highlight this sentiment to you strongly.

While Saturn stations direct, Mercury will make its Heliacal Evening Rise and oppose Uranus at the same time (4 Nov).  This is the strongest part of the Mercury cycle where its mastery in communication, learning, knowledge sharing, teaching, dexterity and networking can shine. This day could be auspicious for undertaking any Mercurial activities, such as those listed above, or even more mundane tasks like paperwork, administration or activities related to technology. Uranus’ opposition would certainly offer an alternative insight or a technological influence for the week. External guidance and assistance might present itself to help you along your way, with Uranus suggesting that this could come out of the blue or from left field. However, there’s also a chance of disruptions and unpredictable annoyances whenever Uranus is involved. Check in with your nervous system as it may need a little TLC this week. Again, if Mercury is your planet this year, this newly visible phase could make for a week of great realisations, progress and acknowledgement for you, especially if you’ve been seeding intentions throughout the past Mercury Cazimi events of this cycle.

Aside from the above three planetary phase shifts, Venus will also be making her annual opposition to Neptune (3 Nov) and trine to Uranus (31 October).  Throughout the Venus Retrograde period earlier this year, Venus made three significant squares to Uranus, signalling quite a disruptive reset to your relationship principles, personal values, desires and financial priorities. As jolting as these squares were, it’s as if you’re now reaping the benefit of having been through that ordeal of anxiety, isolation, rebellion and internal anarchy. Now that Venus has moved onto a harmonious trine, you can begin to see the value of the necessary steps you had to take to get to where you are now.

Venus’ opposition to Neptune will help you look back with nostalgia, reminiscing the events of the recent past either with great idealism or disappointment. The key thing is that you might now feel ready to surrender to all that has unfolded in an attempt to bring inner peace to yourself. Venus-Neptune is a great transit to project any emotions into creative pursuits, especially involving aesthetics. Fantasy and imagination are strong assets of Neptune but be sure to maintain an awareness about the illusions that surround you, either from your external environment or your own internal (make)belief system as your judgement ability might be a little off track this week.
