The First Quarter Moon in Gemini (27 Feb) this week will be interesting. It’s occurring at around 8 degrees of Gemini – the point where Mars retrograded back to before it moved forward again. The two times that Mars hit this 8 degree point was 4 September 2022 and 12 January 2023. With some reflection, you may find a connection this week to the events of these two dates. It may have something to do with a project, decision or action started then which is shaping up to be more tangible or successful now. Or, it could be something started then that may have seemingly failed, which is only now beginning to show some success.

The very auspicious Venus conjunct Jupiter (2 Mar) will be blessing us this week. The two benefics coming together is usually a good thing. Where is 11 Aries in your chart? You may like to seize the opportunity to ask for what you want. The benefics can usually be relied upon for an affirmative response so go ahead and ask for something you might like or need. However, Venus conjunct Jupiter comes with a caution. When these two planets converge, there seems to be an endless desire-nature that could see you asking for too much, especially given that Venus is debilitated in Aries. This shows the possibility of being too indulgent with your needs, over-consuming and not valuing what you already have or what you receive. Jupiter in Aries tends to over-exaggerate one’s ideals and abilities too, which together with Venus’ debility could cause issues with greed, selfishness and ungratefulness.

Mercury conjunct Saturn (3 Mar) the next day could help ‘curb your appetite’ through a more disciplined mindset, thorough investigation and rational sensibilities. This sobering aspect brings a seriousness to the end of the week which could be great for technical work, administrative tasks, organisation, processes and jobs requiring a high level of detail. It’s likely that with Saturn spending its last moments in the sign of Aquarius, which it won’t return to again for another 29 years, you could find yourself focussing on closing matters that have been entrenched within your field since beginning 2021. Mercury’s last meeting with Saturn in Aquarius could see you rushing towards some kind of resolution, much like a writer frantically putting together an important piece before a deadline. With this, you may feel a push towards addressing a persistent issue with much passion, urgency and fire. At the very least, Mercury’s last encounter with Saturn will be a good time to mentally reflect on the past two years of Saturn in Aquarius, which has played a role in reorganising the collective or communal aspect of your life. While we can’t ignore Saturn in Aquarius’ role in re-creating the post-pandemic world, I’m sure it has also reorganised a very important area of life for you over the past two years, particularly in the house of Aquarius in your natal chart. It’s time to lay these matters to rest for the long term. Mercury will enter Pisces (3 Mar) very shortly after, heralding a month of huge astrological significance – the Ingress of Saturn into Pisces and the Ingress of Pluto in Aquarius (YouTube episode coming soon)
