Make the most of this luscious, dreamy New Moon in Pisces (20 Feb) this week because for the next two years, it will have the conservative Saturnian cynic overlooking its shoulder. For now, dream big, share your love freely, explore openly and escape to the imaginal while you can without any strings attached or obstacles in the way.
However, the heavy Mars influence on this New Moon is throwing a spanner in the works. Jupiter, the ruler of Pisces, is in Mars’ sign of Aries while Venus moves into Aries too. This will impact the monastic serenity of the Pisces New Moon and introduce a sense of urgency, action, speed and noise. So, to rephrase my earlier sentence: dream big now, share your love quickly, explore urgently and defend your imaginal space!
At this New Moon, Venus will be moving into Aries (20 Feb) bringing a shift to the general flow of daily life. Things may feel like a battle, either due to conflicts and arguments being more common, or generally feeling as though you’re pushing shit uphill. The enjoyment in daily living could feel like it’s being taken away, replaced by the busyness of managing issues and sorting out problems. With so much to do, so little time and seemingly no one to help, at least you’ll rid yourself of perfectionism. In Aries, Venus has to get over the idealism, roll her sleeves up and get the job done. Most times, a job done is better than a job not done because you’re striving for perfection. So if you’re one to struggle with perfectionism, use Venus in Aries to help you move past it.
Mercury squares Uranus (21 Feb) and trines Mars (22 Feb) over the next two days which could agitate the environment this week. Both Uranus and Mars have a volatility and rambunctiousness to them and while they encounter the planet of communication, Mercury, this could result in verbal flare ups or an exhaustive mind. Be super mindful of a sudden slip of the tongue or conversational faux pas that you may be susceptible to in your busyness and haste. But at times, you may need transits like these to get something off your chest that you’ve been brooding over. So, if you find yourself in this position, the silver lining is that Mercury is gaining speed and with the prompt help of Mars and Aries, all parties should get over things pretty quickly.
